Hoaxes 26/02/2019

The video in which a veiled woman claims to receive benefits solely for wearing the veil is not the only humorous content that has been spread as if it were real. One of the most consulted hoaxes is a video in which five men on the beach claim to be Moroccans who, without ever having paid contributions in Spain, live on government social benefits. However, as Maldita.es explained the protagonist of this video, which went viral in August, it is "humour" and "a humorous denunciation" that he makes in his networks.

The original was taken from his TikTok account, which in his biography is described as 'Zascas y Comedia', and where the author clarifies that his publications are 'humour' and function as 'social criticism'. In another video, published in March 2021, the protagonist identifies himself as a 'Spanish citizen, a nationalised Spaniard', and states that he lives, works and pays taxes in Spain 'like any other Spaniard'.

"All human stories are migration stories because everyone is a refugee from his or her own childhood.
