On 25 May, La Laguna will once again become a meeting point to celebrate the richness and diversity of the African continent. On the occasion of Africa Day 2025, the City Council is organising a day full of activities on the Paseo Marítimo de La Punta del Hidalgo. An open invitation to all citizens to discover, share and recognise the cultural, social and human value of the African communities that coexist in our municipality.

The programme kicks off at midday with presentations by representatives of key associations in the defence of the rights and visibility of the migrant and Afro-descendant population. From there, music, dance and community participation take over with exhibitions, workshops, traditional cuisine, African braids and spaces for children. All of this is wrapped up in a festive atmosphere of exchange.

The afternoon will give way to rhythm with a powerful musical agenda: live concerts, DJ sets and the eagerly awaited Afroclásicos Fest, which will put the finishing touch to a day designed to celebrate Africa from Tenerife. A proposal that is committed to coexistence, visibility and dialogue through culture.
