The President of the Republic of Botswana, Duma Gideon Boko, recently presided over the official opening of Shaturia Manor, a luxury tourism gem located in the picturesque Lotsane region within the renowned Tuli Block. This enclave, designed to attract discerning visitors, represents a decisive step towards diversifying the country's tourism offering and reinforces the private sector's commitment to growth in the hospitality sector.
The initiative has benefited from the key support of the Botswana Investment and Trade Centre (BITC) and SPEDU, which accompanied the investment process from the location of the land to the awarding of the property. This public-private partnership illustrates the institutional commitment to attracting high-impact investment in domestic tourism, prioritising sustainable environments and unique experiences.
The ceremony was attended by leading industry officials, including the permanent secretary of the Ministry of Tourism and Environment, Boatametse Modukanele, and the acting chief executive officer of the Botswana Tourism Board, Kgotso Miles Ollyn. The Selibe Phikwe Area Tourism Development Officer, Mokganedi Ntana, also participated, underlining the unity of action between government and investors to position Botswana as a leading destination in Southern Africa.
