"Tanzania Unforgettable" by Bayo The Great, an award-winning production at the International Tourism Film Festival Awards.

Tanzanian reggae and dancehall artist Bayo The Great returned to Dar es Salaam after winning an award at the International Tourism Film Festival Africa (ITFFA). Held from 3-6 June in Sandton, Johannesburg, South Africa, the event recognises the best films and audiovisual campaigns in the tourism sector. Bayo was awarded this year for his production "Tanzania Unforgattable". Upon his arrival at Julius Nyerere International Airport, he was welcomed by representatives of the Tanzania Tourism Authority. In addition, a traditional dance group enlivened the emotional reception.

His win in the "Tourism Destinations - Countries" category is a great opportunity for Tanzania to strengthen its presence in the film and music tourism circuits, blending local culture and international promotion. This recognition positions Bayo as an ambassador of Tanzanian culture and highlights how music and tourism can come together to project the country's image abroad.

The International Tourism Film Festival Africa (ITFFA) is an audiovisual competition founded in 2019 that awards and showcases promotional videos, documentaries, digital campaigns and vlogs focused on tourism, cultural conservation and the environment. Each year it attracts hundreds of entries from dozens of countries: for example, in 2024, 436 videos from 61 nations competed, and audiences in cities such as Johannesburg and Cape Town enjoyed exhibitions, screenings and workshops.

The ITFFA is not only a musical recognition, but an audiovisual and cultural springboard. The award positions Bayo The Great in a new arena where music, tourism and film converge, raising his professional profile and his ability to act as an ambassador for Tanzania on the international stage.
