The CNDD-FDD party has won all the seats in the Burundian Parliament after obtaining 96.51% of the votes, according to data provided by the National Electoral Commission (CENI). No other party reached the two percent threshold required to enter the chamber, so the 100 seats will be filled exclusively by members of the ruling party. Uprona, the second most voted force with just 1.38%, rejected the results and called for the opening of an inclusive political dialogue to overcome the crisis.

The other parties fell far behind, such as the National Congress for Freedom (CNL), which won only 0.58% of the vote and denounced serious irregularities during the electoral process. The CNDD-FDD, led by President Evariste Ndayishimiye, sought to renew his mandate after two decades in power, in a context marked by repression of the opposition and complaints from human rights organisations.
