At just two years old, Ghanaian Ace-Liam Nana Sam Ankrah has been recognised in the UK Parliament for his precocious artistic talent. The little boy has received the Global Child Prodigy Award 2025 in the category of Art, establishing himself as one of the most surprising up-and-comers on the international cultural scene.
Ace-Liam has not only attracted the world's attention because of his age. In May he was certified by Guinness World Records as the youngest male painter on the planet, having sold ten works and exhibited in an Accra gallery at just one year and five months old. His abstract technique, with bold brushstrokes and vibrant colour, has generated interest from collectors and established artists.
The award was presented to him at a ceremony at the House of Commons in London, where he was included among the 100 most outstanding child prodigies globally. The award honours children with outstanding achievements in areas such as music, art, science and activism.
Behind his meteoric rise is his mother, fellow artist Chantelle Kuukua Eghan, who discovered his interest in paintbrushes when he was barely crawling. Since then, she has fostered his artistic development and promoted his work on national and international platforms.
Ace-Liam has already managed to sell most of his first works, one of which was purchased by the first lady of Ghana. In addition, his family has set up a foundation to promote children's creativity and support social projects, especially in vulnerable communities in the country.
The recognition in London marks a new milestone in the boy's short but intense career. His story transcends art: it is a symbol of innate talent and a wake-up call about the importance of nurturing it from childhood.
