Senegal's pink lake that amazes the world

Lac Rose, deslumbra con su color rosado.

A pocos kilómetros de Dakar, el lago Retba, conocido como Lac Rose, deslumbra con su color rosado bajo el sol del oeste africano. El fenómeno se debe a una microalga llamada Dunaliella salina, que tiñe el agua de tonos rosados gracias a su adaptación a las altas concentraciones de sal.

Cada día, los habitantes extraen sal de sus aguas, una actividad tradicional que convive con el creciente interés turístico en este singular paraje natural. Muchos lo comparan con una versión pastel del Mar Muerto. Pero este espectáculo está en Senegal, y merece ser visto al menos una vez en la vida.
