The centre expands its commitment to children's health in the south of Tenerife, with adapted facilities and a highly qualified medical team.
Hospiten Sur University Hospital launches its new Paediatric Emergency Department in the hospital complex in Arona, in the south of Tenerife.
The aim of the health centre is to offer personalised and specialised care to children in an environment designed especially for them. Aerosol therapy areas, observation boxes and a paediatric triage room are some of the facilities that will allow us to respond to the most frequent emergencies with maximum comfort and efficiency.
The medical director of the Hospiten Sur University Hospital, Dr. Tomás Febles, explains that this new unit is integrated within the paediatric service. "We have a team of qualified healthcare professionals to attend to any emergency with the best efficiency and technology, adapted to the needs of users," he says.
The Paediatric Emergency Department has different areas to attend to patients according to their needs. Dr. Febles explains that "it has a triage room, two observation boxes and aerosol therapy stations to be able to attend to children and adolescents in the best possible conditions".
The opening hours for paediatric emergencies are from 10:00 to 22:00 hours, every day, and outside these hours the hospital has a specialist on site 24 hours a day, guaranteeing continuous care at all times for emergencies.
With this new service, Hospiten continues to work to ensure that the health of the youngest children is always a priority, offering specialised paediatric care that contributes to the wellbeing and health of the families who come to the centre.
