
Programmes and grants European Union
The European Union (EU) and its agencies offer various programmes and support for the integration, employment and welfare of migrants, including those from Africa. Some of the main initiatives and relevant contacts are listed below:
- Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund (AMIF): Provides financial assistance to Member States for the integration of migrants and asylum seekers. For more information, please visit AMIF.
- European Social Fund (ESF): It promotes the social inclusion and employment of vulnerable groups, including immigrants: ESF.
- Fund for European Aid to the Most Deprived (FEAD)Provides basic assistance to people in extreme need. More information at: FEAD.
- Education and employment projects: Initiatives such as Erasmus+ and Science4Refugees support education and training for migrants, including specific job opportunities for refugees with an academic background.
