Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez concluded his tour of Africa with a visit to Senegal, where he met with his counterpart Yassine Fall to strengthen political, economic and commercial cooperation between the two countries.
Rodríguez was also received by the President of the National Assembly of Senegal, El Malick Ndiaye, with whom he discussed the promotion of inter-parliamentary ties. He will also hold meetings with members of the Association of Friendship and Solidarity between the peoples of Senegal and Cuba (ASENECUBA).
The Cuban Foreign Ministry stressed that the visit reaffirms more than 50 years of bilateral relations and Cuba's commitment to South-South cooperation in Africa. Before arriving in Senegal, Rodríguez visited South Africa, Ethiopia, Burkina Faso, Nigeria and Ghana.
His tour coincides with that of Cuban Prime Minister Manuel Marrero Cruz, who has visited the Republic of Congo and Namibia, and will close his tour in Equatorial Guinea.
