The fourth edition of the International Congress on Human Rights and Globalisation will be held on 9, 10 and 11 April at the University of La Laguna. It will bring together more than 170 experts from Spanish, European and Latin American universities to analyse the dynamics of migration in the European Union from a human rights perspective.
The event will address issues such as the "Canary route", migration and asylum policies in the EU, the socio-economic impact of immigration, multicultural coexistence and the media treatment of migration. Disinformation, hate speech and other current challenges, such as the impact of artificial intelligence on civil liberties and human rights protection systems, will also be discussed.
This congress seeks to generate a space for reflection in the face of the growing migration crisis and the ethical and political challenges it entails.
