Botswana's President, Duma Gideon Boko, has officially opened the House of Botswana at the prestigious JCK Las Vegas 2025 international trade fair, accompanied by the Minister of Minerals and Energy, Bogolo Kenewendo. The African country's presence at this event marks a strategic step in its global positioning as a benchmark for sustainable luxury and high-end tourism destination.

In his speech, he stressed that Botswana's diamonds are not simply a mineral resource, but a symbol of national identity, empowerment and responsible management. In his speech, he emphasised the intention to transform the narrative around the country, integrating tourism, investment and ethical luxury into a proposition that transcends mere gem trading.

Botswana is also committed to diversifying its tourism offer beyond wildlife, focusing on the MICE industry (meetings, incentives, conferences and events). This strategy seeks to attract business travellers, creative people and investors, consolidating the country's image as an enclave of innovation and international cooperation.

The executive director of the Botswana Tourism Office (BTO), Keitumetse Setlang, also participated in a panel discussion where she highlighted how the diamond narrative is integrated into the country's tourism development, promoting a model that boosts local communities and projects Botswana as a world-class destination.
