The Non-Governmental Organisation for Development (NGDO) Canarias con Mozambique, now has its 2026 solidarity calendar on sale, an edition that fuses art and social commitment to the African continent. The initiative features original illustrations created by students from the Universidad Popular de Agüimes, who have captured on each page their vision of Africa as a land of life, colour and hope.
The project reaffirms the solidarity vocation of this NGDO based in Agüimes, Gran Canaria, which has been promoting development programmes in Mozambique for more than two decades. Its work focuses on guaranteeing access to drinking water, supporting children's education, promoting women's rights and strengthening health care in rural communities.
The publication of the calendar has become an annual tradition that allows the organisation to keep its projects active. The funds raised contribute directly to financing basic infrastructures, sending school materials and supporting missionaries and aid workers in the field.
Each edition is also a recognition of the social fabric that supports the cause. Artists, musicians, writers, artisans and volunteers participate by contributing their talent and time in fairs, exhibitions and charity activities. Their involvement has transformed art into a tool for effective cooperation between the Canary Islands and Africa.
With this new issue, Canarias con Mozambique once again builds bridges between two shores united by solidarity. The 2026 calendar not only invites you to admire the creativity of its collaborating students, but also to actively participate in a chain of support that continues to grow from the south of Gran Canaria to the heart of the African continent. The price of the calendar is 5€ and can be purchased by contacting the NGDO directly. Canary Islands with Mozambique, via email or contact form on their website.
