The conference, organised by the Official Spanish Chamber of Commerce in Senegal, offered a practical and updated view on the interpretation and application of the Senegalese tax system.

The Official Spanish Chamber of Commerce in Senegal held on Monday 13 October a face-to-face training dedicated to taxation in Senegal, with the participation of the renowned expert Cheikh Ba, former Director General of Taxes of the country. The meeting will take place at the CAMACOES headquarters in Dakar.

The aim of this conference was to provide a practical and up-to-date overview of the interpretation and application of the Senegalese tax system, an essential area for companies operating in the country or planning to set up in the country. Cheikh Ba's intervention provided a direct reading of the mechanisms governing tax administration, with a focus on business management.

The session covered strategic aspects of current regulations, preparation for tax audits and the use of control and risk prevention tools. Real cases and specific examples were also analysed, which will allow attendees to identify opportunities for improvement in tax compliance and governance.

The meeting, aimed at financial directors, accountants, legal representatives and managers of Spanish companies based in Senegal, seeks to foster an environment of technical cooperation and knowledge sharing between the Spanish-Senegalese business community.

With this initiative, CAMACOES reinforces its role as a reference platform for training and tax advice in Senegal, offering companies the necessary tools to operate with confidence in a constantly evolving regulatory framework.
