
King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II, has expressed his full support for actor Idris Elba's ambitious project; a world-class film school to be built on a 90,000 square metre site in Accra.
During a ceremony at the Ga Mantse Palace, the monarch paid tribute to Elba for his commitment to the development of the African film industry and his efforts to position Ghana as a reference in the audiovisual field on the continent.
The future institution, which will be located near the historic Osu Castle, aims to train and empower young Ghanaian creatives, while attracting international productions to the country.
This project represents a significant step towards consolidating Ghana as a key hub for African cinema and a talent platform for the world.
