"Africa Cinecicleta", an interesting initiative reflected in a documentary film

In 2015, Isabel Segura and Carmelo López began a journey of more than two years through Africa by bicycle, where they screened films using a system that is activated by pedalling. This journey, which began in Madrid and culminated in Madagascar, gave rise to the documentary "Africa by Cinecicleta", produced by TCM (Turner Classic Movies).

The screening of this film on 23 May will require the participation of the public, who, by taking ten-minute turns cycling on a stationary bicycle, will generate the energy needed for the screening, making the session a pollution- and waste-free event.

The screening will be followed by a discussion with the protagonists of the documentary to encourage debate and critical thinking about the African continent. Cinecicleta is a cultural and sustainable project created by Isabel and Carmelo, who combine their love for cinema and cycling with the desire to share their experiences.
