Ghana has become a focal point for thousands of people of African descent seeking to reconnect with their roots. Since the launch of the Year of Return programme in 2019, the country has welcomed visitors from all over the world, especially from the United States and the Caribbean, who now choose to settle there permanently.
Accra, the capital, stands out as an artistic and creative hub. Exhibition halls such as Gallery 1957 and the Dikan Center set trends on the contemporary African scene. Festivals such as Chale Wote and new initiatives such as the "Black Star Experience" confirm the country's commitment to becoming a global hub for culture, tourism and entrepreneurship.
More than 500 members of the diaspora were granted Ghanaian citizenship in 2024, in a symbolic gesture that reinforces the message of welcome. Ghana not only opens its doors, but offers belonging, stability and opportunity.
With a unique blend of history, spirituality and dynamism, the country has established itself as a place of healing, memory and projection. In Ghana, past and future meet to build something new.
