Martínez Hermanos has announced its incorporation as an official sponsor of OzuruNext, the artistic talent incubator promoted by Ozuru Group in Equatorial Guinea. The firm has formalised this commitment, which represents a boost to the cultural development of the country.
OzuruNext was born in September 2024 thanks to the initiative of the artist Antonio María Ondo, “Tony Mary”. Its mission is to professionalise the local art sector. During the inaugural ceremony in Malabo and later in Bata, workshops, advice and technical mentoring have already been set up.
The platform welcomes a variety of disciplines: painting, sculpture, music, theatre, writing... Its aim is to turn talent into economically viable projects, helping artists to monetise their careers.
Martínez Hermanos is a family-owned distribution company founded in 1927. It operates in food, pharmaceuticals, cleaning, furniture and catering, and in 2014 it created a foundation to promote social projects in Equatorial Guinea.
The company argues that art is a key tool for social development, cohesion and the promotion of national identity. With its sponsorship, it aims to reinforce its image as a driver of cultural progress.
This drive coincides with a broader strategy of Martínez Hermanos to diversify its support to local initiatives. In addition to venturing into agribusiness and entrepreneurship, it is now also committed to culture. OzuruNext is adding resources to consolidate itself as an artistic hub and generator of opportunities.
