Economist and entrepreneurship specialist Djimi Youssouf Diagana presented Mauritania's vision of technological cooperation with Tunisia in Nouakchott, as part of the Forum Mauritanien-Tunisien de la Technologie et de l'Innovation.
During his speech, Diagana highlighted the country's economic potential, backed by mining, fishing, agricultural and energy resources, including recent oil and gas discoveries.
He underlined the importance of international collaboration, mentioning the historical experience of the Mauritanian-Tunisian Pêche as an example of fruitful partnerships between the two countries.
The expert pointed out that investment opportunities in the energy sector have been identified since 2008, and emphasised Mauritania's intention to improve the business climate for local and foreign investors.
Diagana insisted that the combination of Tunisian technology with Mauritanian resources can boost industrialisation, innovation and services, creating a favourable framework for joint projects.
The intervention concluded with a clear message: Mauritania seeks to consolidate itself as a regional development hub, where technological cooperation and sustainable exploitation of resources are articulated as engines of growth.
