The president of the Mauritanian Entrepreneurs' Circle (CEM), Sidi Khalifou, has shared his vision for the country's business future in an interview with Financial Afrik. He discusses the main challenges facing local entrepreneurs, from difficulties in accessing finance to regulatory hurdles, and details the actions CEM is taking to improve the business environment.

Khalifou stresses the importance of promoting innovation and diversifying an economy that is still highly dependent on natural resources. In this sense, the CEM seeks to consolidate itself as an engine of economic transformation and to foster the creation of new opportunities for young entrepreneurs.

One of the key points of the interview is the recent arrival of a Mauritanian as president of the African Development Bank, an opportunity that Khalifou believes could strengthen relations between the national private sector and the continent's financial institutions.

The full interview can be viewed on the Financial Afrik YouTube.
