The Official Spanish Chamber of Commerce in Senegal has welcomed the Barcelona office Nomadaw as a new member, marking a further step in its international projection. With more than two decades of experience in architecture, Nomadaw has developed projects in Spain, West Africa, Namibia, Brazil, China and Azerbaijan.

According to the official communication, the firm specialises in three core areas: heritage rehabilitation, architecture for development and urban planning. These areas allow the team to tackle complex challenges, appropriate to different contexts, with an innovative and sustainable approach. Since 2014, they have maintained a presence in Senegal through cooperation projects and private activity, which reinforces their commitment to the region.

During their incorporation, the firm's representatives, Julia Mimó Zedjaoui and David García Martínez, travelled with their local team to formalise their relationship with the Chamber. This is a symbolic act that points to the beginning of a long-lasting collaboration between both parties.

The alliance between Nomadaw and the Chamber opens up new opportunities to boost architectural initiatives in Senegal, integrating values of sustainability and urban regeneration. The firm's experience in the African context, as demonstrated by its previous work in the country, brings solidity to the project. In particular, it highlights its ability to adapt construction techniques, materials and architectural processes to local realities, as other Spanish firms have done in Senegal.

The Chamber, for its part, expresses its satisfaction for the incorporation and its best wishes for the development of this collaboration. It hopes that this new member will contribute to the strengthening of business and institutional ties between Spain and Senegal, within the framework of sustainable development and international cooperation.

This announcement comes at an important moment for the international architecture sector, where urban regeneration and heritage intervention play an increasingly important role in global contexts. Nomadaw thus enters a platform that can enhance its projection and the impact of its projects in West Africa.
