The E1 Grand Prix championship, held on 4-5 October in Lagos, is a boost for the promotion of electric sports events in Nigeria.

Nigeria became the first African country to host the E1 Grand Prix World Championship, which was held in Lagos.

The event, a pioneer on the continent, puts Africa on the map of technological and sporting innovation, bringing together the most advanced electric boats in the world.

For Nigeria, this event represents a milestone of national pride and an opportunity to demonstrate its organisational capacity in front of world-class competitions.

The local authorities highlighted the economic and tourism impact of hosting such an important event, as well as the boost it offers to sustainable development and the marine industry.

The E1 Grand Prix not only consolidates Lagos as a leading destination for global events, but also reinforces the image of a continent that is making strong progress in innovation and clean technology.
