
The CEOE headquarters in Madrid will host the seminar "Africa: investment in talent and development" on 25 September. The meeting will serve as a prelude to the II Ibero-African Business Forum, scheduled for November in Tenerife.
The day will focus on the education and skills challenges facing African economies, as well as investment opportunities linked to the continent's young talent.
The event will be opened by the President of CEOE, Antonio Garamendi, and the President of the Government of the Canary Islands, Fernando Clavijo. Both will underline the importance of strengthening alliances between Spain and Africa in a context of global economic transformation.
Confirmed speakers include representatives from the Spanish Ministry of Economy, Trade and Enterprise, the UN Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA), the African Union Development Agency (AUDA-NEPAD) and the Senegalese Ministry of Vocational Training.
African ambassadors accredited in Spain will also participate and details will be given of the programme that will mark the second edition of the Ibero-African Business Forum, aimed at strengthening economic and cultural ties.
Those interested in attending should confirm their participation in advance. The seminar will start at 9:00 a.m. at the CEOE headquarters, located in Calle Diego de León in Madrid.
