The East African Festival of Arts and Culture, which takes place in Addis Ababa from 20-24 March under the theme "Arts and Culture for Regional Integration", brings together representatives from 10 countries in the region, including Rwanda, Uganda, South Sudan and Tanzania.
Ethiopia's State Minister of Culture and Sports, Nafisa Al-Mahadi, stressed that the event promotes cultural exchange and strengthens regional unity through art. Participating delegations highlighted the importance of the festival in promoting brotherhood, peace and cultural diversity.
In addition to art exhibitions and performances, the festival includes conferences, symposia, traditional cuisine, fashion shows, music and book fairs, establishing itself as a key venue for cultural and commercial integration in East Africa.
