The Cabildo de Tenerife has opened the new edition of the Africa Scholarships, aimed at young graduates from the island who wish to carry out non-labour training internships in African countries.
Up to ten grants will be available for stays of up to eight months in Morocco, Senegal, Cape Verde, Ghana or Gambia. The grantees will be able to work for public bodies, private companies or NGOs.
The programme, managed by Fifede and the Dirección Insular de Acción Exterior, seeks to offer international professional experience and strengthen cultural and economic ties between Tenerife and the African continent.
The monthly financial support varies according to the country of destination: 600 euros gross for Cape Verde and Morocco, and 700 euros gross for Senegal, Ghana and Gambia. Fifede will also cover travel, accommodation, insurance and visa and vaccination procedures.
Applicants must be between 18 and 35 years old, reside in Tenerife, be unemployed and have a university degree, vocational training or certificate of professionalism, as well as a minimum language level depending on the country.
Applications can be submitted until 16 November 2025. All information is available at fifede.org
